help needed in image



Pull the guidelines down from the top and sides of the ruler.

Duplicate the background, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+T and align the horizon (side of buildings, etc.)

If you are lucky you can add a mask and bring back some detail from the background layer (i.e, sky) around the edges... otherwise, crop.

Straightened concrete, shoreline and horizon. Three passes with Free Transform to make the corrections and one pass to exclude their artifacts.

The wavelets near the shore line aren't horizontal and I think they confuse the appearance of that region a bit. That and the irregularity of the shoreline itself make it hard to judge the shoreline's "straightness."

Marty, that came out very nicely.

I was going to suggest to crop out the bottom horizontal concrete portion, as I think it would look better without it, and it adds a little bit of wondering how deep/tall the vertical concrete walls really are...

Straightening A Photo
Go to:
1. Filter Distort

2. Lens Correction

3. Turn off grid

4. Grab Straightening Tool

5. Click along line to be straightened

6. Go to Scale

7. Scale out the outside parts, about 7-10 degrees
