--- Canon EOS D-30 & PowerShot S100- Maybe one day I'll take a decent picture. In the meantime, I'll blame the equipment. :)

That's a nice piece of work, Joo. Clever composition and I love the colors. Could you post the full-size somewhere just for awhile?

ML

Never mind. I found it. sheepishness

I really like the additional reflections in the lower globes.

Nice work.

ML

wow.. that's really neat. I, too, like the colors, and the reflections in the smaller globes at the bottom. Hang this one on your wall!-- Jae Winter

I would call it art, or an abstract, but I don't see how this is a self portrait?

Still, it is a nice shot.

Thank you all for the comments. I called it a self portrait because its one of the few photos where I am actually in the shot. In the center of the large globe, you can see a reflection of me taking the photo.

That photo is so cool! Good job. Where is that?--Matterhorn'A picture a day keeps boredom away.'

This photo was taken in Washington, D.C. behind the Smithsonian Castle. On the east side of the building among the bushes, you'll see these globe statues.

I took the photo with the D30 and the Canon 70-200L F4.

Actually... I haven't printed it out. I'll have to print it this weekend to see what it looks like. Glad you enjoyed the photo!

Joo
I love this photograph, I bet it looks superb printed out.
Very clever and I think you should change your footage.

Regards,

Denise

I hope that's not in the part near the mall that's being taken over by the WWII memorial. I think I remember that this part is further away?

Hello Joo, With the D60's 6mp you might get 3 Self-portraits with the two
smaller glass balls on the lamp. A great Picture.

(P.S. How do you upload all your wonderful pictures to Pbase?)

--The joy of photography is being there when you take the picture.

I guess I'll just have to go photograph it again later in the year after I've purchased the D60 when its reached $1500 for body only.

I make a ZIP file of all the photos for a particular gallery and I upload the ZIP file.

Hi Joo,

Great shot.

I took a look at your galleries and was really impressed with your strong sense of composition. I also found your photographs from the mentor series. How did you like it? Would you recommend it?

I finally worked my way to this message. I have been contemplating the 70-200/F4 for my D30 and I think that your photo has pushed me over the brink :-)

I live in DC also and have taken some shots in that area with my G2. Lots of great opps downtown...

Best,

Paul
