Hi

I have just been out for the first time with my new FZ50. No complicated testing, more like testing myself. I had to delete the first six images, I used manual focus and forgot you cannot recompose the zoom after focusing, without Focus lock.

One or two were taken with the Raynox wide angle attachment lens, you may just notice a slight corner vignette.

I have printed this photo and I am pleased with the result at 10 x 8.

Thanks for the comments -

Newstaed Abbey was once the home of the poet Lord Byron. I think the colours will be even better in another couple of weeks.

The FZ50 will give good results when i learn to drive it.

Looking forward to it's next outing

Nice series, DAvid. I wish I had done that well with my camera when I first got it. I have to agree with the PBS comment. :-) Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the nice comments Jackie.

The FZ50 has already had its second outing.

O a misty morning with the promise of a nice day we went to walk through Chatsworth Park in Derbyshire, The home of the Duke of Devonshire.

This time I fitted a polarising filter, set the camera to Landscape scene mode, and left it to its own devices.

It is nice to be able to judge the exposure on the half press, as you can select a different part of the picture to set the exposure.

The only nuisance I had was adjusting the polariser, the lens hood had to be removed then refitted.

I have embedded one or twp photographs below, the rest approx 40 can be viewed at http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2367/1657050411_ba13ef6aca

The mist was starting to clear as we walked.

I waited ages to see if the horse would turn round !!

Regards

David
