I'd give anything to know what he thinks about all day.

Shot handheld on the G9. Overcast lighting from window light.

The exposure is very close to what I took straight off camera. I exposed for his face, and the background was so dark it came out almost pure back.

I converted it to B&W, tweaked the contrast, and applied some vignetting. That's pretty much as it was on camera. Here's the unedited color version:

 
Hey, man! That is a really nice picture! Did you take this in black n' white or was it originally a color pic and then you converted it?! I have a pic of my teen like this when we were at the Univ of TX campus in Austin this Summer. Again, good job.....

Very nicely done from color to b/w.

The lighting from the window played a big part of the mood and I would have to think your son is one serious thinker, like mine. :)

It's nice to see pictures from the G9 instead of all the cons against it and I am partial to kid pictures. :)))
