Lucy informs me that she cannot see any images in my posts (even my SIG photo). As far as I know, I have not done anything differently. I will post three photos below (sorry, three that I have posted before, but this is a test). I can see them from my computers, and Lucy seems to be having no problem with other people's images. Please let me know if you can see these or not.

Image #1: Which animal, and how many?

Image #2: A purple what, and how many hands?

Image #3: Roadsign to where? What's in the background?

Not sure why these don't seem to work for Lucy, but if they don't work for anyone, it looks like I'm going to have to beat up my ISP. grump

The only test of an image is the satisfaction it gives you. There simply isn't any other test.

I can only see them if I click on New Window or right click and choose show picture.

Actually I have to click on New Window for at least one and then the right click option of show picture works.

pic 1: 2 camels
pic 2: purple quitar 2 hands
pic 3: roadsign to Tokyo plus a lot of other places. Lighthouse in background.

I'm not doing anything differently. The path shows up with the jpg extension at the end, but not the photo? That's not the way it's supposed to work...

Thanks. I will see what's going wrong. I think my ISP changed some things recently and this might be a side effect.

Actually I couldn't either see the images that escaped Lucy. Something wrong with the linking?

These ones I can see clearly and as usual - camels, guitarr and 2, and Beacon overlooking how to get to different places - right?

No same result. I must first click on new window to see one pic and then for the rest I can right click and choose show picture. Very weird but I have seen it before and have no idea what causes it.
Any difference?

Shouldn't be. I've checked and they look fine. Plus I can see them from all of my computers.

That's right! Did you have to right-click on any, or did they just show up normally in the post? About Beacon... last time I looked, he was still standing there overlooking.

. . . now that's I've opened them in external windows, or seen them in your secondary attempt, they show up for me in your original post now!

Computers. Can't live with 'em, can't carry on any internet romances without 'em.

Red X
Getting a Reddex is better than getting a Reddess, in my view...

Nothing to do but wait. In the meantime, it must be telling me something, so I won't post any more pics for awhile to see if this resolves itself. But how will I know? I see all my images just fine...
I, too, can get them to open if I click [New Window]
Maybe I need to jack up my rooftop antenna some more for a better signal. Hey, it worked in the Sixties...

I noticed that also and the same is true even if I open another tab on IE7. If I close the browser however and reopen the pics again don't show. Very strange.

I can see them just fine. :-)
... but YOU might be. :o)

If you solemnly swear that you aren't hallucinating (at least to the best of your knowledge, Judy) then I will take you at your word.

Beacon and Joe seem to be sharing Lucy's problem with my images, but then they show up, and then they don't. Is this a left-brain, right-brain thing? Which way does the dancer turn for you, Judy? :o)

I cannot get them to open under any circumstances in IE7 but they open staight away in Firefox!
I even tried without my virus scanner and firewall in IE7 but no joy.

Just trying to get better!!

I wasn't getting the Red X's until I viewed the post in Internet Explorer 7.

Firefox works just fine, every time. I get the same behavior reported by Joe and Beacon if I use IE7, though. (If I click on "New Window" in the nav buttons above the red X, the picture appears. Then if I refresh, it comes up inside the post.)

Something to do with IE7 then? That seems a bit odd...

I must be too then.

I don't know about Judy, but I'd never swear to anything outside of my control!

Beacon, Joe and Lucy, or the images?

I heard she goes both ways ;o)

Image #1: Which animal, and how many?
Two camels with ugly teeth
"Oooo... not quite." [Alex Trebek's "so close" voice.] Actually, you are correct, but I just wanted to use Alex Trebek's voice for a moment.
Image #2: A purple what, and how many hands?
guitar and two hands (is that your wife's handiwork? It's very well
done)
It is Susan's design and execution of it in leather, yes. Title is "Purple Haze" so you can guess whose hands those are. The actual design of the hands is a stylization of a rather more famous (and historical) pair of hands from a ceiling somewhere...
Image #3: Roadsign to where? What's in the background?
Tokyo, lighthouse in background
I thought it was your stalker there for a moment. Relieved to find out it's only a lighthouse.

Thank you for playing. I'm going out on a limb and guessing that you are NOT using Internet Explorer 7, is that right?
