Now it may be something silly I am overlooking but I need some help in fonding something on my iMac.

I installed my old i9900 printer tonight. When I used it on the pc I had to go into the controls and make some adjustments to the colors and and some other controls. I cannot find these controls on the mac.

Have looked in the preferences settings and tried to find them by printing from CS3 but they are not showing up.

The prints are very dark and I am hoping some adjustments will help. If someone has an i9900 and has it working right...I would appreciate hearing from you!

Lou,

thanks much for the quick reply. I have been to that site and made sure the printer was in the list. What I am looking for is the dialog boxes where I tell it that I am using photo paper pro and adjust the brightness etc. I cannot seem to find any of those settings.

Dan

ps I have used the printer setup utility and found where i can do a print head alignment etc. Just cannot find the other controls I used to set before I printed on the windows environment.

I use an epson.

See when you select the printer for printing look for a utility icon. I know on the epson they have something like that and I can tell how much ink. Also see if print settings have a drop down menu when you have to pick the paper could be in there.

I am sure some of the canon fellows will chime in with more info than I have.

Well, I have the i9950 (European model with CD printing I assume)...

Normally every print dialogue will come up with the "Copies and Pages" page/tab selected. Assuming you have the correct driver installed, you should find most settings by expanding the "Copies and Pages" entry and selecting the "Quality and Media", "Color Options" and "Special Effects" pages respectively.

Well the mystery deepens!

No such dialog shows up and I downloaded the latest driver from the Canon web site. I am trying to print from CS3.
Wait**

I did find the settings you described at last...in the lightroom dialog box! Prints are very dark though and I cannot seem to override the settings to get a decent print.

Anyone have a i9900 on a mac? If so would be interested in your settings when printing to it. (Maybe it is time to grab an Epson and ilford Gallery..hear great things about it.)

If anyone knows where the dialog box is to be found in CS3..I am all ears!

You've found it and you let forum know you succeeded. Now everyone whom reads this will learn.

Great!!
