Just bought the s6500sd (VERY pleased with that camera). Now im looking allover for a 2GB typ H card. Ive read that there is a "M/H"-card thats supposed to be as fast as the h-card, and ive even seen M-card defined as "high speed" on some sites..

I just cant figure this out.

Anyone know where i can find a 2gb h-card in europe (or rather sweden). Ive found some places but theyre all "out of stock"..
Thanx

M type cards are just as good, H types are newer and supposed to be faster only for movies if you shoot movies, both cards work just fine. I would only look for the newer H type if you shoot videos, otherwise the M type will work just fine.

Thanx, but ive also heard that the writing time for raw shooting goes down to about 3 seconds with the H-type..

Depends on the camera, for the high end s9100, they may be faster, but for the S6000 series, they are pretty much the same from everything I have seen.

XD Type H cards have been discontinued hence everywhere is running out.

I bought a 2GB from Tesco at a reduced price of £30! (UK)

Hi,

Check http://www.cyberphoto.se -- they seem to have Fujifilm type H 2GB cards in stock.

Not sure if that's true, but I'm planning to buy one from cyberphoto.fi after I buy my s6500fd this week (hopefully)...

Bought one from cyberphoto, works great, writing time for RAW is close to nothing, same with movies.

I have a s9500. H cards are seconds faster with RAW files.
I've also read in a UK photo mag M are replacing H. H are to be phased out.
Try Pic-Stop. I get all my cards from them. VAT free if you buy from Jersey.

All the gear but no idea
Fuji S5000z now an S9500

Yes it is hard to find 2gb H type, but the speed is not “pretty much the same” with the M type, for RAW and movies, and I don’t think that they are going to be stopped…

RAW writing with just a test with my watch is approximately 2 seconds for each file.
May be less needs someone to make several shots with a good chronograph…

Immediate firmware upgrade for the HDTV dock, to be compatible with RAW&TIFF

There are type H card 2GB on Ebay - just do a search. Picstop have 1 GB H card.

Best Regards

H-types are measurably faster than M-types in my s9600.

By my watch, the write time for an 18.3 MB RAW file drops from 9 secs to 7 secs when I switch from 2 GB M-type to 2 GB H-type.

I echo the comments about PicStop.
