thanks guys, but i'm still dubious about the paper stock.
epson's website claims -
"In order to get the maximum color stability print from your Epson Stylus
Photo printer, it is important that you use Epson's Photo Ink (standard
on all 870, 875DC and 1270 printers) with Epson's new lightfast papers,
Matte Paper - Heavyweight and Premium Glossy Photo Paper."
now i've seen the "lightfast" box version of the premium glossy paper (it
clearly lists the 870/1270 printer on the packaging...) but all of the
heavyweight matte paper that i've seen has been the old stock which only
lists last year's printers.
since epson goes to great lengths to describe the lightfast quality of
the printer with "new lightfast papers," is it not reasonable to think
that the paper should be labelled as such?
or is it the exact same paper as before? i know that photo dealers are
telling us that there's no part number for a new heavyweight matte paper
- but that doesn't mean a hill of beans to me... most photo dealers know
less than we, the followers of this website.
