First time in a while I have been out with my camera... mainly due to pressures of work.
This pano is six images stitched together in Photomerge in CS3.
Frustrated I was unable to get there any earlier... this was nearly midnight!
Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

--Hey Viking, how do you spell incredible? That's the most impressive pano I have ever seen in my life and for a number of reasons (that time and space won't allow. Take care. Bob

Fantastic pano Esed - great job! thanks for sharing.

When I saw your pano of a ship (and the city which is awesome btw), I remembered this old (3.5 years ago) pano I dd from the inaugural voyage of QM2.

Its 4 stitched pictures (this is a resize for 50%) - I have it printed and hanged on my library with +2 meters long:

I'm outa luck, outa love
Gotta photograph, picture of
Passion killer, you're too much

That's pretty remarkable! And I thought I was getting good panos!

Getting a good nightshot is one issue but to be successful and put them into a unified pano is another.

In the next few months it is my intention to visit a large underground cavern (there are a few here in California) and create some new panos.

Great job!

Bob

Spectacular image, esed. It is not easy to get the tones matching so well, especially with all that light on the water. You have made a superb job of it.

Best night shot I've seen on any forum, strange how some of us (well me) miss so many opportunities, I shoot panos but never tried it at night. Great image.

I'm really confused (nothing new). Nice shot and I can appreciate the technical skills you have in stitching, but why is this "the best shot I've seen in any forum"?
By the way, where'sthe QE2. Is that her in the foreground being disassembled?

Thanks for all the kind words. Certainly I think Bobs Panos take some beating, but I enjoy trying to catch up with his quality.

Just for you Henry, this is the closest I could get with my 18-200 lens from about 1/4 of a mile away from the other side of the Mersey. The other half of the boat had already been towed away for scrap.

Thanks for looking.

Hi,

First I assume that is your real name. Another issue that is impressive is that you used the 18-200 lens for the pano. Because I have found it somewhat soft yielding muted colors it sits as a permanent resident on my backup D40X.

However, your night shot is quite nice and I will give thought to using it again.

Thanks for the side complement in the previous thread. I don't get an opportunity to take the kind of photos you have used for the large pano. But I can't imagine at this point, given the opportunity, being able to produce a better one.

Bob

God I feel stupid. I re opened the thread and on the last entry was able to pan the image and find the queen. All I saw the first time was the left half of the image. It's certainly more impressive now.
