Very very good Jim, I too loved the Washington Mon the best..
Thanks for bringing those back to share...

I accidently pushed the power switch to reset and I oopsed setting
it back up which I think had some effect on the final product. I
really have to be careful not to do that again.

Very nice - I like cb32 and cb27 the best, in that order. cb09 is funny, taking a picture of a 2100 with a 2100 - do you thing someone else was taking a picture of you at the same time with their 2100? ;)

Excellent conceptual shoot...Looks like it's gonna be another month before anything blooms around here like that...another inch or two of snow just fell right after the forsythia started to bud....

Yeah if you mean the 2nd one...That's the one I gravitated to also.

great shots, at this time last year I was visiting our nations capital...you're making me want to go back!

I also liked the monument pic the best.--www.pbase.com/paulpaintball

Jim are you in DC or that area or were you just visiting. If so i'm over here in Va in loudoun county. I loved the monument picture. Great Eye.--Vwman----C-700 UZ

Hum, consensus on the monument pic. I just wish the color was more sturated on them all. Thanks for looking at them : )

Yup, Loudoun County VA, too.

I should have brought my external flash along for fill light.

Jim Kelly,

These are great! You sure picked a beautiful day to shoot the cherry trees. Nice framing and composition on these.

BTW, did you see the link Daniella posted the other day for the Max Lyon's site? He has described a technique of creating high resolution images by stitching as many as 9 images together! He has a high res gallery of Washington, DC images and a number of other high res galleries. In case you missed it, here is the link to his site. http://users.erols.com/maxlyons/

If you like this site, you may want to consider adding it to your most excellent collection of useful photo tips on your website. I am awaiting an opportunity to try these high res composites myself.

Thanks,

jim

Why didn't you stop and say "hi"?

That "unknown owner" is ME !!!!!

I should put that one in the portraits gallery.

As you can see I was having some trouble with light entering the eyepiece. Will probably have to try one of those Orion eyecups P-shooter likes so much.

That is just funny. You two were so close to each other and now your talking on the web....LOL

Jim. where in Loudoun are you. I'm on Leesburg and work in Reston.--Vwman----C-700 UZ

Darn, it's a small world but I'd hate to have to sweep it all...

Inigo, when I first saw the photo I tought it was was someone from here cause of the remote attached to the strap like I posted once...

Get the Orion eye piece, you'll love it...

Jim, real nice shots, I like 32 the best...I'm jealous...we still have snow...

any recomendations for an eye piece for a c-700?
Although I use the Orion for my C2100, I tried it on a C700 at CompUSA to check for someone who was asking...

It didn't work cause the 700 viewfinder is flat to the body and does not have a protruding lip like the 2100 does to attach it to...

Maybe someone else has another idea...

Good luck...

You looked pretty intense - I was hesitant to break your concentration.

Hope you got some good pics.

Fairfax County here, but not too far away.

From past postings and info on their web pages, Eric and Heidi are also in the area.

Do we all have Uzis or will we be able to arrange the first no holds barred C700 v Uzi live action mud-slinging tournament? :-)
