Just got the S9000 and need to know which paper is best. Is there a source on the internet that is reliable and good for S9000 paper?

I have the same question -- especially for A3 and A4 printing. Is Photo Paper Pro available in those sizes?

Don.

Mike,

Thanks for letting me know about Red River. I'm going to order some today and see how it works...Sure sounds good.

I tried to find the CANON PPP here in town but not one of the office supply stores carries it..Have you tried that paper and how does it compare to the Red River?
Thanks again,
GeeJay
I have been using Red River, the Ultra Gloss, Ultra Satin and
Matte. My favorite is the Ultra Satin.
Both of the Ultra's are thick and heavy feeling, the colors really
show on these papers and they aren't too expensive.

I've been trying all kind of papers and always come back to :
TETENAL HIGH GLOSSY SPECIAL 264 grs.
I thnik this is buy far the best paper that's available and it performs well
in any inkjetprinter and I can know because I owned 5 types last 2 yr.
( my Canon S9000 is the best ever allthough I've been fighting with it's
settings but that's under control now )

Mike: What settings do you use for the Red River Ultra Gloss and Ultra Satin? I may order some of both as I understand they are both excellent with the 900 - 9000. Some say as good or better than the Canon PPP.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm a real neophyte when it comes to photo printing (just got my first photo printer - S9000 - yesterday) so my eye may may not be as discerning as others'. I took a chance at Office Max yesterday and picked up a 15-pack of Hammermill Jet Print Photo professional photo paper (8.5X11) for $13 and change. Using the default Canon PPP settings, I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the prints. I brought one to a friend who is an advanced amateur/semi-pro film photographer and he was amazed by the quality.

Not much cheaper than PPP, but easier to find...

Hi Marc,

I taught 2nd grade for many years and I was about to correct your 'buy' for 'by' ..but enjoyed your comments about print paper so much decided to let your buy go by :)

GeeJay
"buy" far ! , hahahaha

by far the most expensive that you can buy is probably what I meant
to say.........

Rich,

I had to order the PPP because it was no where here in my town....so I"ll try the Hammermill Jet Print and see how it works for me...we do have an Office Max here....

Thanks, GeeJay

Office Max here had 5 or 6 kinds of the Jet Print paper. I've only tried the "Professional" so far.
