"Remarkable!" will have to do.

But that's a pretty serious rig you're using!

BTW, did you get any eclipse shots? Don't recall seeing anything, but maybe I missed it.

Cheers, John

Wow I am envious wish I had your rig for the eclipse.
Can you tell us more about the optics?

Right you are. :-)

It's really not a terribly expensive setup - less than the cost of a 50-200 Zuiko for the whole kit (and caboodle) and it takes great terrestrial telephoto shots as well as long as quick focusing isn't an issue. Meade makes a series 5000 80mm refractor that is probably even better and is more compact (and of course there are others). Unfortunately astronomy is as addictive as photography...

Best,

I was at work and could only grab some pathetic handheld images with my 40-150 kit. It was fun to watch from my lanai off Waikiki however! ;-)

Beautiful shot.

My partner has a Meade ETX and I am toying with the idea of attaching my E400 to it. I have an OM to 4/3 adaptor, which works fine with OM50mm f1.8 lens. I also have OM t-ring. I intend to purchase the Meade t-adaptor. Is that all I need? I also have access to 3" reflector. I have no idea how to connect E400 to it. Any idea.

Any help much appreciated.

What a fantastic shot. I'm envious of your telescope. Just wondering if you've used the scope for wildlife photography.
