Looks small to me. Can't judge from this pic - is the camera big or is the woman really small? In the other pics the camera looks fairly compact.
 
Does that look like a built-in pop-up flash to you?

Probably easier than weatherproofing the articulating LCD, but more dangerous due to the 330V capacitor required to power the flash.

Actually looks smallish to me and I like the translucent lens.....why
not.

I suspect that both buttons are programmable and were therefore labelled "FN", and that the label on one of them was changed to "IS" to reflect the default function and to reduce confusion. There's also a third "FN" button on the vertical grip, which I would assume will perform the same function as the "FN" at the top.
