However when I was at home and I looked with a magnifying-glass at
the area where other people have a crack I discovered that there is
a very very very small crack as well. I will not bring my G2 back
since I waited to long for the G2 and it is only a limited edition.
Will just have fun with it

I looked at my grey G2 with an 8X loupe and found hairline cracks where the chips have been reported in other cameras. My camera is 4 months old.Today I got my black G2. I checked it in the shop and it seemed ok.

I purchased my black G2 in The Netherlands where I live. One of the
dealers got one from the supplier (demo version) and I could buy it
for 990 Euros. Since I have only one digicam I can not make a
picture of the crack.
I even wonder if you can see it on a pict. since you need a
mignifying-glass to see it. Probably the magnitude of the crack
decreased since the changed the polymer material af the back. If I
had not read about this problem I probably would have never detect
it. The cam is great especially that 1 GB MD

I may have to go to an electron microscope to find that darn
crack....lol
