I have created a Yahoo group that contains all the upgrade firmware for both the D5 and the D7.
You must sign up with Yahoo groups to gain access to the files.
I uploaded all the files from the PCT-100 CD this includes firmware for
North America, Japan, and All other Regions.

Hope this helps.

Happy Shooting
Bill

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

You are the daddy.

122 is supplied with the PCT-100; contains fixes and features to support it.

Some report added (older) CF cards are now supported (perhaps also with
performance regressions too!)

Jury is still out on any AF gain over 121. Mainly AF issues with telephoto and low-light performance (i.e. when EVF kicks into b&w mode).

121 cycles once in this mode for 3-4 seconds only when re-focusing is required; otherwise AF confirmation beep takes 1 second or less. Don't know if this has changed in 122.

( I've been using the AF/AE toggle to hold the focus and exposure prior to action shots also shutter priority)

The sports mode should be used with caution. Fast shutter/ continuous focus does not work well with low light and tele-photo on. You should override the continuous focus wih single focus for sport mode or use manual pre-sets set to just before the subject to captue the greatest depth of field)!

Hi Eric

My firmware shows A1v121e A201.
XP software came with my Camera two weeks old.
I am having same trouble as most on this forum.
Can anybody advise if this version of Firmware should fix Anything.
Who would purchase the 'I' model ?
My D7 was purchased in Singapore, SNo. 91204582, Made im Malaysia.

Just last week I went past the Minolta Factory in Penang and should have told them where to fit the camera.

just updated to 122:

121 cycles once in this mode for 3-4 seconds only when re-focusing is required; otherwise AF confirmation beep takes 1 second or less.
vs.
122 is always 6 seconds and always refocuses; even when left on target.

IBM microdrive store is up to 2 seconds longer; i.e. 1-thousand-1;1-thousand-2; method. (note: store time in fine max res mode, count starts when the red access light comes on. and stops when it is off.)

My guess is 122 was designed for support: i.e. more cf drives, provide a more precise AF in low-light conditions as well as support PCT-100.
