The Old Man and His Creek

Wonderful shot Larry. He looks happy. Peaceful fishing spot is what I need also away from the ratrace. Great scene.
Kind regards,
MAC

Hi Larry,

If it is a tree, a valley, a sax and now a man, the perfect light and composition are always there. Really great shot Larry (again) and I love the chair of the man it makes it funny to and he sits there like a real fisherman, patient as a man can be. I begin to think that fishing is a variation of Zen or yoga. Larry as I see the light in your pictures and those of Hugh and other people in the US, I think I will move to the States, first a bit training on this forum to learn English and then hops move... It's like this guy looks so real as possible, I can look at this picture for a long time. Superb Larry.

With kind regards,--Dirk Vermeirre

Larry,

Fishing: a fine activity. And I must say, this is a very fine picture of a fisherman. It looks as if he's taking a break from fishing, though, just enjoying his creek and the beautiful day. Your photo has carried me away, and now I am enjoying the creek and the day, too.

Thanks for the trip, Larry.

With respect,

adrienne

Larry,

This a wonderful picture. First the light is outstanding. The play of shadows on the subject add depth. The overalls with a cream colored shirt is a pleasing color scheme. The detail in the clothing is excellent. What a fun picture - sitting in the sun and enjoying life.

Well shot
John

Hi Larry,

I really best be going to sleep but couldn't help but to comment on this one.

This is a wonderfully dreamy candid. By dreamy I mean that it really made me get a bit lost in another world. It is technically a really good photo but also I love what you saw and chose to share.

This man looks like someone who has a wonderful repertoire of stories to tell. He may live a very simple life, I like how he's sitting on the bucket and he looks like someone who has learned how to relax and appreciate the world around him.

Thanks for sharing, I envy that guy. :-)--Suzn http://www.outof-focus.com

Hi LMC,

I have seen two of your shots. Both are stunningly well done. Profoundly affecting me. So much so that I felt that I could no longer take a picture. In fact, it inspired my cynical post about springs in the air. But I read the rest of your thread, thank god. You said something so important- about watching. I tried for years to get just the shot that you took so well- Impressionism. Thank you for posting your thoughts. Now I know that this isn't a competition, but a celebration of the visions we are allowed to see, and if lucky, capture.
Admiringly yours,
Gregg Kuljian
