I have been fiddling around for over an hour...

I live in Europe. What is the best way to pay for a lensmate.

PayPal (by credit card) doesn't want to seem to know. Is that because I have to wait 3 to 4 days for an account???

help!--novice...trying...and hoping (expecting) to be better!!!

Well to register a credit card you have to enter a number that you cant get untill you get your next credit card bill, the number is found on the card, and i beleive for a bank account you have to wait a few days for activation, yes.. hope this helps... email susan for her bank info and maybe you can just directly deposit it into her chequing account... its possible...

You are right richy61, you have to wait until you receive your first Visa/MC/American Express or whichever card you regiatered with. They send a 4 digit ID # on your bill, you then use that to pay with Paypal for the first time. Once you get that number Paypal works flawlessly. I buy stuff regularly on Ebay and use Paypal all the time. Incidentally, the lensmate is great and well worth the wait. --lover of photogenic yellow labs

Hmm, I paid for my Lensmate via Paypal and didn't have to wait for a number on my credit card statement! Wonder why that is?

That is kinda strange, but here in Canada, I registered with Paypal and could not make my first purchase until I had that 4 digit number to make that first transaction, I believed it worked that way everywhere, but no matter, he will sort it I'm sure.--lover of photogenic yellow labs

I also signed up for Paypal and ordered the lensmate the same day ( and the payment came out the same day too ;-P ) . I didn't put in the registration number until about a week later when it arrived on my statement. From Australia.

Must be something about what choices you made when setting up PayPal acct. On mine it verified my credit card acct. WHILE I was in the process of registering and it was available for use immediately. The bank acct. verification meant I had to wait until next day to check bank deposits online but I could have charged to CC immediately. I prefer the CC route for the "holder in due course" protection with the CC company (I can withhoild payment to Visa if i have problem with a transaction). You cant do that if you transfer cash from your demand deposit bank account.

I live in Canada. I sent a money order. I received my Lensmate in approximately a week. That's quite speedy. I remember ordering CDs from some major online stores and it would sometimes take up to 3 weeks before I got it.

PS. Lensmate seems the way to go for a lot of people looking for an adapter but this new Habuka thing has me curious. Of course it takes 43mm filters as opposed to the Lensmates 49mm but the tapered adapter end of the Habuka may minimize or eliminate the shadow problem when using the G2's internal flash. I emailed the fellow in charge (Minami) and he responded by saying "Regarding the dark shadow, our adaptor should not make any shadow for G2". The key word there is "should not". Seems to be just a guess on his part. Someone else mentioned that it still causes a shadow but it is not as noticeable as with the Lensmate. The question is, what is "not as noticeable"? From his perspective it may not be but that's subjective observation. I would like to see an actual shot taken with the Habuka using the internal flash. A picture is worth a 1,000 words as the saying goes.
