Sony cameras are far from the best, but Sony Forum is the best! The best technical knowledge, the best pictures posted. Why it is so? Are the users of Sony cameras more experienced because of trying harder to overcome their cameras deficiencies? Or the Sony cameras are not so bad at all? What do you think?

No doubts, you are great Sony enthusiasts, but you are rather weak in the math, because: best + best = 2best

LOL Fewer equipment freaks and more people having a good time?

I think that would be BESTEST OF ALL.

With a name flektogon (a famous Carl Zeiss 35mm lens) you should know how good the Sony cameras are. The best ones use Carl Zeiss lenses.

No no, we have our math skills straight here as well. I would liken the sum of Best + Best = Best to the mathematical sum of infinity:

Infinity + Infinity = Infinity

There's simply nowhere else to go.

Well thought out, intuitive design, solid, affordable, great features and menus - didn't take long before I was hooked on Sony.

LOL There are times I think someone equipped mine with an Out-of-fosagon instead - but it's usually just my own ineptness!

(- Best) + (+Best) = Best .Does that make sense to you now?!

I thought Flektogon was a small fishing village in nortwest Denmark.

I'm curious why you make that part of your statement....

For some of us, (me for instance) camera features begin and end with live preview, making the R1 by far the best...

My opinion of course,

I love Sony!

On the fishing forums that may hold true, but on photography forums it is a lens.

Here is a link to a picture.

I think there are more good pictures exhibited on this forum than any of the others.

People take pictures with sony cameras. They only talk about good pictures on the other forums.

Camera technology keeps evolving everyday... so some day there probably will be cameras that are so much better than anything we have today, even bringing up the differences we find among the current models will be a worthless thing to talk about. Even on that day, paint-artists will think that they're still superior to photographers lol

I've been using a Sony T7 and I'm currently using a Sony H9. If you think the Sony forum is better, it could be due to the following reasons:

1. Some Sony cameras (like my H9) can be used to take quite impressive shots, fairly easily. Lots of casual photographers use Sony cameras for this reason, and since this is a camera/photography enthusiast forum that comes up very easily on Google, the ones who're conscious and curious about their shots could be posting their best ones here.

2. Some of these cameras (like the H9 and the T7 I've used) have features that can be manually tweaked to get much better results. So, finding the right settings is like an adventure on its own to some of us and we're always exploring how to take better shots, sometimes of the same thing, until we find the camera's absolute limit.

3. Maybe since there's a general notion that other brands are better than Sony, the Sony users who discover the positive things about their cameras try to demonestrate otherwise. And casual photographers who've bought traditionally known brands (e.g. Nikon, Canon, etc.) might be trusting their equipment to take perfect shots every time, they're not interested in others' opinions of their shots or might not feel that they need to prove anything.

So that's what I suspect...

Good question btw!
