to strip the EXIF info from an image? I use PSP X to edit my pics. I would be grateful if you can suggest a way of doing this without me having to purchase any more equipment, (software), as my wife is still digesting my recent camera and lenses, ( GX10 two kit lenses, the Samsung version of the DA100 f2.8 macro, an FA 50mm f1.4). Now I'm starting to talk, (gently), to her about some other aquisitions, lol.

I have a photographic memory, but I keep forgetting to remove the lens cap.

Why do you want to strip the EXIF?? I don't know about PSP but in photoshop (with image ready, CS1) if you save Optimized or For Web, the EXIF is one of the things it trashes. Does PSP have a save options button where you can tell it what you do or don't want??

Still happy with the K10d (in spite of the pixel peepers)

I figured out a way to do it, it's a convoluted method, but it works, and, as I won't be using it often it'll do. Unless anyone comes up with a better way that is.

After editing the OOC jpg> save as> tif. This removes the exif. If I want to put the image on the web, I have to redo, save as, > jpg. I now have a jpeg without exif info.

That seems like a real screwey way to go about it. Here's something that may be a bit simpler.

The free version (or at least the one on my machine) will allow you to strip the EXIF out of the photo. Just happened to think of it when I read your description. I think you can do Some editing of the EXIF also in the free version. Other features are only available in the paid version.

Imagemagick. Great for doing things in batch, but I'm a command line guy..
Open Source and a great package which has been around for more than a
decade and a half I think.

..and this is the option you want.

Of course if you're doing things in batch and reducing sizes etc, you'll
want to combined it with the -resize option and probably -unsharp as
well as others.
