I was in Boston this last week and a visit to the magnificent (Saint-Gaudens) Shaw Memorial was a must. (If you saw the movie "Glory" you know what this is about.) I thought I had an idea for a different type of pano or montage. Here it is. Not commpletely successful, for sure, but a fun try.

I had to hit Google Images to see what the memorial actually looks like, and understand what you were trying to do.

Well, what you've done is not technically perfect (no way it could be), yet it's interesting. But the question that keeps ringing in my head is: What for?! For the heck of it, I presume?

PAW - Week 43

Len,

If I understand what you did, it is a fascinating effect. And the blur in the middle helps key me off to the double image. Technically quite nice. I wonder about going a little higher to show the top edge all the way across. I'm going to remember this trick. It is an interesting way to show more of a subject. Hmm . . . where else could that be used?
