I am currently using Lightroom and CS2 for my digital developing chores. I shoot 95% in JPEG and do 95% of my adjustments in LR.
A close friend recently got CS3 (he was using Elements prior) and he loves it.

From a photographers point of view, considering that I do most of my adjustments currently in LR, is the upgrade worth it? I have read some of the features and some sound very interesting. (Even played with the trial for a few days.)

From what I have read elsewhere, many feel that if you are already using LR for most adjustments, the upgrade is not worth the cost of admisson.
Opinions?
Thanks, Steve

I already have LR (as I stated). I am asking about the advantages of CS3 over CS2 when you consider my workflow.
Thanks anyway,
Steve

Since you already have Lightroom, you are taking advantage of most of the new ACR features in Photoshop CS3. The new Photomerge is much improved in the new version. And there are a few other features. But if you are happy with your current workflow, my opinion would be for you to not upgrade. I have experimented with the Lightroom trial version, and I have Photoshop CS3. Lightroom has some nice features, but nothing to motivate me to purchase it at this point. My opinion is that this is an either/or situation. But there are a lot of people who have both and are happy.
