Well I have had my Feisol for less than 2 weeks and already I am experiencing some problems with one of the leg locks. As much as I tighten the lock the section below still moves and can be pulled out from the lock. Not impressed but I guess I got what I payed for.

Email has been sent to Feisol and I hope they can help me because with a long lens the tripod is liable to 'sink' on that one leg and is no way steady.

Just warning other potential buyers of a possible issue. Maybe it's a one off problem but I am not that impressed at the moment.

Hey Alex--

I just sent you an email with the response I got from Feisol a while ago. I would've posted it here, but there were some pictures attached.

Don't give up on the Feisol.....I love my 3471

I have had my 3371 for about a year now and couldn't be happier with it. I use it with my D200 and the 500mm f4, and a full Wimberley, and it is solid as a rock. I did have a problem with one of the angle locks breaking, and after communicating with Feisol support folks, got a replacement part sent posthaste.

Good to hear Ken.

I have dismantled the leg lock and put it back together again and it now seems to be fine. I guess something was out of alignment or something.

Cheers

Alex

I have two feisol trippods, the CT-3371 and the CT-3401N plus the monopod
CM-1471 and I'm very happy with them, never had a problem.
