What a beautiful country! And what stunning captures! You have done excellent work...it's enough to make me want to pack my bags and go there. Alas, I cannot stand the heat and humidity like I used to before I ruined my lungs smoking!! So I will satisfy myself with looking at your wonderful pictures! Many thanks for sharing!

This really brings back memories. I was in Hue for about 10 months ... actually abut 10K (as I remember it) South of there, but made it into Hue frequently. Thanks for sharing.
 
... thanks for showing these. A strange and exotic land. Just one question though. The railway tracks in the first shot - what are they used for? Surely they don't run a railway engine and carriages up there between the buildings?

Some nice shots there. I wish when i was there i had a dSLR with me now. Especially at night around the lake in the old quarter of Hanoi.

I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a nice holiday full of photographic opportunites, fantastic food and friendly people.

Yes i was on a train one day and thought geez we are close to the buildings.....

Lovely shots.

One of my kids is over there at the moment, well he started there about 5 weeks ago and with his fiance have gone up the coast of Vietnam acrossLaos, through Cambodia and shortly will head to Thailand to finish two months in four countries. They are then heading to Canada for a year to work.

Great set of images! About 7 years ago I spent 3 weeks backpacking from south to north and had a fab time. It and it's people are very photogenic and all up a very interesting travel experience. Thanks for sharing your images.

I'm already planning/hoping on returning this fall and Saigon eh... Ho Chi Minh City is definitely on the list of places to visit :-) I can highly recommend Hue, it's quite touristy but many historic sites are being restored look really impressive.
