D-Lux 3 imgs from France

Thanks guys, the feedback is appreciated. All were processed in Lightroom 1.1, and basically (2) and (3) were treated in pretty much the same way to achieve almost a Dragan effect (if that's the right terminology). There is also a Lightroom Preset which achieves pretty much the same thing, but I now prefer to 'create' my own 'look' rather than simply apply someone else's.

Personally, I'm still not sure about (3). I might have pushed it too far, but nothing wrong with a bit of experimentation now and then. That's why the feedback is so useful. Here's a few more conversions:

Mike, these are great shots. I love them in BW; very artistic! But I think in color, and the way you worked with contrasts, they give a very moving and sad feeling that is very appropriate for the subject; something like a bad dream!
Great work!

Mike,

Can you share more details of your Lightroom process especially if there was a preset you used for these photos ? Thanks so much !

For bbodine 9 and Derek......

Apologies for the late reply. For starters, have a look at this page of Lightroom Presets: http://inside-lightroom.com/cp.php

Scroll down til you find the Dragan presets, I think there are seven in total. I used these as a starting point and then went off on my own path! Unfortunately I didn't save the finished article as a preset, simply synching the result of the first image processing to a selection of other images. I must have a look at how I can save what I've done as a preset.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes
