Thanks for posting the pictures; nice shots and I really enjoyed looking at them. Maybe I should have given a little credit to "mom" in my subject line? :-) Again, thanks.

Great photos, though. But what to buy for a baby gift?

I coulda had a V8 -- but I bought a 1D Mark III instead

When I ask which Canon lenses are best,
people tell me to 'go to L.'

Very cool.

I noticed the X's to mark the top side of the eggs. Important? We never bother doing that with the chickens, but I've no experience with turtles.

Thanks all. I'm sorry, I meant to put in my OP that I would follow up with shots in 68 days, that is if big daddy did his job. I guess I got excited about my first picture post with the MK III!!

I was going to use AI Servo to "catch" the action as they were coming out but they were all out and buried. Yes the X's, we will keep those on the top just as they came out of the nest.

As far as presents go, money send lots of money, this daddy has his eye on some new glass!!

Not Turtle eggs but actually Desert Tortoise eggs. This is in my sister's backyard, she has three tortoise left out of about 25 of them. She would rescue them from bad homes and nurse sick ones back to health. I have four myself, three good and healthy ones and one that was malnourished but is gaining weight and getting bigger (a massive 4" dia shell).

It is illegal to remove them from the deserts of California but people do and most don't know how to care for them. People like my Sister take care of them and find good homes for them.
