Could anyone direct me to how I can create a 360 degree virtual panorama movie, using quicktime. I once heard, that I first would need to make 30 shots, in 12 degree increments. is this correct?--Billy Lee

There are several programs available to turn a series of pictures into a panorama. Most are flexible enough to allow you to use any reasonable number of pictures to form the panorama. In general, the more pictures you start with the better the resulting panorama will be. More overlap improves the quality of stitching, but requires more pictures. Shooting the pictures vertical instead of horizontal will give you more detail, but again requires more pictures.
Locate some QTVR software that you can afford and that runs on your machine and take the number of pictures that it recommends. I no longer remember the names of any of the QTVR capable packages, perhaps someone else does?
