Even tho' I have a new 510 . . . .

There is certainly nothing with that 300! And it taint ugly either!
Cute, cute deer.
Oh, this is jennyi. I am using Bob's laptop so I doubt it will show as me.

We are here at the Red Lion. :-) Got here this afternoon. For some reason, I can't get online with my laptop. It worked when we were here in June so I don't know what is wrong now.

Chase deer across the river, please. I'll have my camera ready.

You seem to live in a very nice and quiet area! Certainly, why should the E-300 stop working? Only cause there are some new kids on the block? I'm shooting still with my good ol E-1 and hope to do so in a couple o years from now...:-)
I like your shots very much. Which lens and ISO did you have there?

Nice shots!
How are you getting along with the E-510?

I'm considering the E-410 as a replacement for my aged and dying P&S. It's a bit larger than my C-2040 but still small enough to tuck into the pocket of my cargo pants.

. . . . all of those shots were taken with the 40-150 v1. All were at 150mm and ISO100. It was about 7:15pm in the evening here is So. Washington state. I live about 2 miles west of the Cascade Mountain foothills . . . .and, there are lots of farms and open space in this area.

Thanks for the interest and compliment . .

. . . . as you may remember, I have the E1 also . . which was my first DSLR. About 1 1/2 yrs after this purchase I got a -300 because the price was right. 1 1/2 yrs later (now) I got the -510 . . . largely for the better high ISO performance AND for the increased resolution for crops.

Like others I am "sleeping" with this camera . . . tho, I must be honest and say that the photos from the "other two" compete VERY FAVORABLY with the new guy.

Ergonomically, the -510 is way ahead of it's siblings . . .the menu and ease of changes "on the run" is where I'm focused here .

I must confess, Bill, that I have only scanned the op inst, and, I am just now starting to READ them carefully. So, stay tooned !

In short . . . I love this damn thing !!! (At my age, it's better than what I remember about sex !)(Plus . . It has NOT complained once in the past two weeks !!!)

Smiles . . . .
