Hi Stana,

As I was saying to someone else, it is really hard to decide which ones to post and in what combinations. That could be a thread here of it's own, I think! Grouping of photos is an art in itself. Then there's the issue of cross-posting. My, my this gets complicated!

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it very much!

Hi Beth,

This is an incredible series of candid portraits. I like this
series from the parade better than the one you posted at Fred's.
Really nice work on these.

Hi Beth,

Yup, I had a look, and you've certainly covered lots of angles there! Among my favourites this time round are 'crowd', 'candy scramble', 'stray' and 'pol and his wife'.

cheers,

malcolm
For me I think that 'standing out....' and 'passing through' are
really great shots because they say more to me about the parade
than the 2'nd or 3'rd shots. The 'Biker' one is a bit static (but
the bike is great!).

Cheers,

Malcolm

Hi Beth,

You do have a way with the camera and these candid shots. They are very good, color, detail, very good.

I really like the first. Maybe it's the "salty" character and the way that he really stands out from the crowd. The second as well places no confusion, even though there are scores of others, about who the focus is on. But all are good and pleasing to look at.

Thanks for sharing.--Suzn http://www.outof-focus.com

Thanks, Suzn. I'm glad you like them.

Thanks, DL. You are very kind. It was a cold 2+ hours standing out in the cold, but such a treat to be able to photograph people without feeling self-conscious or intrusive.

Thanks, Morris. I guess I've been successful then. I set out to document the parade which meant to photograph the event itself and all the ingredients that build the atmosphere around it. Thanks for looking and commenting.
