Show Your Nation's Colors

That's true unless the flag is illuminated, and then it may be flown 24/7. LOL, both my sons were Boy Scouts. I can see a spotlight is shining on this one.

Drat, I somehow jumped the post above me. Sorry...

That sure is a flag of some cosiderable proportions there. The one with the parachutist I mean of course. I bet he doesn't carry that around in his pocket, lol.

Regards Allan.

I have a photographic memory, but I keep forgetting to remove the lens cap.

I'm from the US but this is a picture from the Shaolin Temple in China I took at a training demonstration. They were talking about the Bejing Olympics in 2008.

Hope that's not cheating ;-)

Thanks, Nate! There is a little motion blur in the picture at higher res, so I'm not 100% satisfied, but the great thing is I can go do it over any time I please.

I loved Salzburg when I was there last December. I didn't get to go into any of the high places, sadly. Beautiful place. Nice shot you have there.

Brett, I saw the same shirt in the Munchen (Munich) airport.

I had a hard time deciding which American flag picture to post until I remembered this one from my recent trip to New York. This is on a rooftop at Ground Zero (the former site of the World Trade Center).

I am really enjoying this thread. My son (MatLG) has said many times he wanted to start this very thread because he is such a proud young man. Us Americans seem to have a reverence for our flag that I don't see from other countries (except maybe the French). I want to make clear I don't mean this as a put down in any way - it's an observation without judgment. When it comes down to it, I am somewhat ignorant because I have only been to the USA, Mexico and Canada. But we Americans post pictures of the Stars & Stripes all the time. I rarely see flags from others. So please post your flag and share with all of us the banner that represents your country.
