Mountain Biker Action Shots

Took this series yesterday with my FZ7.

Setting were all 1/800s, f/3.6, ISO 80 and manual focus.

I was hoping for widest aperture at f/2.8 to get some background bokeh but it was too bright even at 1/1000s. I also had to set ISO 80.

I used P mode to get focus set on the jump and then clicked on Manual Focus to lock it in. Then set it 3fps (H).

I had to adjust the levels a wee bit and applied some USM as some of them were a little soft.

Any C&C is welcome and appreciated.

Maybe had you backed up a bit & shot with a tighter zoom could you have gotten some background blur... If we're going to get any, it's gonna be at tighter zoom with some distance between us & the subject & it looks like there would've been enough between the subject & background, if there were more distance between you & the subject & with tighter zoom... But then again I'm taking shots in the dark that any of it will matter....
