Still waiting on the answer to the price match from Sears.com and its been 3 days. Just wondering if anyone had any luck yet?
Please let me know also tell me how they let you know.

Maybe because it's the weekend I have to wait till Monday.

I'm waiting 1 more hour to call the Sears store I visited yesterday. That will be 24 hours - the 24 hours in which I was to hear something.

you have to give it at least two buisness days. If you put it in on friday like me it might be monday or tuesday. They are going to wise up soon I just hope it is after all of us get approved. be patient!!!
 
I just finished doing the Digitaldealz through Sears.com. I e-mailed in the appropriate pages including the shipping fees, and it took about four hours total to get approval. They request that you put in your order through Sears.com, and then they credit your account with the price difference. As I said, the whole thing took about four hours, start to finish. One thing to remember, these people are the most disorganized people on the face of the earth. If you badger them and keep your request in front of them all the time, you can get something done. I don't mean that you have to be rude or a pain, just be nice and somewhat persistent, and they'll respond.
 
Just got an answer from Sears... I have to resend the attachment. This time I scanned in my printout and sent a jpg. The html didn't go through. Here is what they said:

You have requested that we match a price, which you may have found on a
competitor's website. Our online price matching policy states, in part:

"If you find a lower price (including shipping, handling and delivery) on an

So you got approval? If so great! I had to resend mine, are they working on Sunday? Hopefully I will hear something. How did your email go through, they could not read mine. I finally had to scan in the printout and resend it. Tell me how you did it?

I just did a "save" for the two or three pages I sent to them, and then sent the saved pages as an attachment. The response you received is just a computerized response they send to everyone. I called and spoke to Peggy R, and she was very nice. Later on the same day, she sent me the okay. I ordered the camera through the 800 number shown on your response, and told the person taking the order that Peggy R had sent me an okay for the price matching. The order clerk got verification from Peggy for the okay, and after a couple more calls, I received a credit for the difference. I hope this helps, and good luck. Let me know if you run into any problems.

I forgot to mention, when you send in an e-mail or FAX to the price matching people, be sure to include the Sears part number for the camera: it's Sears Item Number 003 53017. I guess it saves them time from looking it up or something. In cany case, they asked me for it and it seemed to make them happy.

If you want to be really clever about it, you can use the Amex Blue credit card and get a 60 day low-price guarantee. If you find it lower in the next sixty day (which you probably will), Amex will refund the difference. In addition to that, Amex automatically extends your warranty, in effect, doubling the warranty time.

First of all, I would like to thank this forum for saving me at least $200 on a DSC F707. I took the advice from this forum and printed out the Digital Dealz order page and brought it to the nearest Sears store, which happens to be in Santa Monica, CA.

The sales person was pleasant, but was skeptical of the price and wasn't sure if they could do the price match. He showed me a list of web vendors that they would absolutly not match in price citing that they deal in grey market goods. Lucky for me that Digital Dealz isn't included on that list (not yet anyway). After about 30 minutes on the phone, the sales person finally agreed to sale me at the price of ($659.95) quoted on the DD website. I've attached the sales receipt as proof of the purchase price.

I don't have AMEX
I have Visa and Sears.

My Visa doubles the warranty time, but I don't know if they will let me use it at sears.com for this special deal. They are probebly hoping I will put it on my sears card and not pay it off right away and pay 21% int., but I always pay off that card when the bill comes.
