Hi Greg,

Thanks for your information and appreciation. Long time before going digital I always was a Nikonist and I think I will go back to Nikon (all my lenses are Nikon) because I need regularly big files (around 50 MB) for my clients. I have a Kaiser Scando that makes images until around 58 MB that I use for product shots. I'm happy with my S1 but needs bigger filesizes. Do you have a gallery somewhere on the net ?

Thanks Judy. It's obvious by your work that you are lapidary in your photographic compositions as well. It's rare that I don't set up the tripod and really work on a single shot - just my style but not the only way to do things...
 
Well it helps that you've already got a bunch of Nikon glass! Of course Canon and others are making exceptional digicam SLR's as well and they are certainly worth a look.

For film I use an Imacon Flextight Photo, which can scan 4x5 negs as well as medium and 35mm formats. Once I can afford it, I'll get digital backs for my RZ and Sinar, until then it's the D1x and Imacon.

Hi Greg,

I take a look and I'm very impressed. You're a master in compostion and have a very good eye for structures and light. Thanks for sharing these. My favorites are Governer's Palace Ballroom 1 (could b a painting), Sunset Shed, The Road Ahead, Window Still life,Scope 3, Arck light, Beyond, Handrail Study, Wash High Study 1, Hotel Kaboul, Cannon Mouth, Window Vignette, Red Pillow, Knob, Lamp and Bed, Two Rocks (I love the sea), and Aback (so simple and so strong as image).

Well Greg, your just-for-fun shots are shots most of us would die to capture, and as much as I've enjoyed your numerous class assignments, I've been missing your off-the-cuff observed shadows. This one is as classic as the others you've posted...the interplay of the shadow and the window, and the grayscale bug, make for a wonderfully playful image. I enjoyed returning to this a few times, even though I've been strapped for time these days.
