**WTC a little Closer**

Beautiful shot, DomDP!

Were you on a boat? Do you plan to take more photos?

Thanks for posting this shot. It's the first one I've seen that actually makes the beams of light seem to approximate the buildings themselves, which I'm sure was the intent.

I'd be curious to know where this shot was taken from. You can't get the Statue of Liberty in front of lower Manhattan from Liberty State Park (where I took my shots). Also curious about the retouching techniques used on the beams of light

Nice photo, thanks for posting.

Alan
looks like a great vantage point, either in the water or by Liberty
State Park.

But I do plan to go out tonight for a few.

interesting shot - heavily manipulated of course. It looks like even the water was created with the PS "flood" filter.

Hi Alan..I saw your photos too, and they really are great, should have dropped a line in your thread. Your right this was shot from Jersey City, by a amateur, on his way to work, Monday night. When I talk to him I will try to find out some details for you
Nice photo, thanks for posting.
The picture does have something to say, I attribute some of that mood to the long exposure and resulting lighting effects

Glad you appreciated it.

I don't think so Sasha. The photo DomDP posted isn't even a "real" photo (although I'm sure photo(s) were used in its creation). It's a copy the illustration that ran in the Newark Star Ledger (and probably many other papers too) on March 8th, before the light were illuminated for the first time. It's copyrighted by "The Municipal Art Society", FYI.

Dom:

An extraordinary picture, one to be treasured. Thanks for sharing.
