a few new(er) photos

Hi,

See you've not had a response ant yet...sorry been v.busy work wise. Hopefully I'll bump you up to receive some more feedback as deserved.

Just wanted to say nice set. My definite favourites are #3 and #5 (particularly #3 if pushed to choose) for just their vibrancy and energy ... they really display the energy of these guitarists' performances...and as an ageing Hendrix (saw him at the 1970 IOW Festival) and Clapton fan I'll always appreciate a guitarist if full flow;-)

Very nicely taken...what was your camera and flash set up?

Cheers,

Paul

i have a dimage a2 that i have been using for the last 3 years solid.

for concerts i shoot full manual, f2.8 between 1/8 and 1 second shutter.

white balance is set to flash. i push the flash compensation up to +.3 and i try to keep it at iso64 otherwise the noise is so bad that i am ashamed of the pictures.

for anything else i mainly shoot full auto.

photoshop means that i can fix color issues and all that jazz after the fact, and all i have to work on is getting my stubborn camera to focus.

i really respect the opinions given out on this forum, and would love some more to be aimed my way.
thanks in advance.

To be honest the forum is pretty quiet.

The PAW (Picture a Week) threads were designed to get some activity going, get people out and using their cameras more and to provide some feedback via constructive C&C.

For instance I've posted pictures in PAW and in a separate post in the last week and got few comments...but what really helps is if everyone who expects and enjoys feedback also offers it. That builds the feedback levels for everyone on the forum. So can I invite you to C&C some other pictures posted here as well - you may then find that those people will feel they should do you the courtesy of commenting on yours...and so on. It's a sort of reciprocal thing really.

Cheers,

Paul
