So how was your post a useful contribution?
.........It helps him feel good about his purchasing decision.

....It also makes some of us wonder why Pentax is only about 6 or 7 percent in the DSLR marketplace............unless it's actually true that those JPEG's are crummy and there actually is a need for something more than a RAW only camera out in the real world.

..or is it genuine happiness Pentax K10D winning TIPA award "best expert camrea" and the Camera Grand Prix 2007.

Pentax a·fi·cio·na·do may take offense. 4 years ago they were at 0% so statistically that is an infinite increase in market share. The jpg thing is pretty much a crock as well. To add a little meat to the whole situation, it appears Pentax used a AA "sandwich" (K10 only) w/ an imbalace. Strong in one direction, weak or absent in another. Apparent engineering choice to allow for some increase in resolution (and beneficial for RAW processing)with of course the usual tradeoffs re: jpgs/moire/sharpness ect when dealing w/ this (as all brands need to deal with). Least they had the guts to try something different.

Sorry that it bothers you. Don't buy one after you actually try one to see for yourself instead of parroting the party line.......

Hello Phil,

Of the literally thousands of inane useless posts that flourish here what made this one any more so to merit a comment from you

40-60% of posts here is useless drivel like that with near zero information content.

If I had money, I'd hire some mods to clean this place up and to bring up the s/n :)

Best forum, but also the highest amount of trolls and people who think this is a forum for talking about anything (from price of gasoline to latest purchases).

Didn't anyone read the article on the front page? I guess I was too subtle, although I thought that comment "read the copy on the front page" gave it away, but the "Remote Assistant 3" announcement has a typo that says "remove assistant 3" function. I thought that was quite funny that Pentax would sell an accessory that would remove your assistant, that's all.

I occasionally find typos hilarious, and since I make my fair share, I certainly didn't mean any offense. I'll try to keep all humor (or humour, if you like) out of my posts.

I have no problem with Pentax or any other brand, just saw a very funny typo is all.

......after a couple of days now, it's still there!

Yeah. Don't you think it's about time to make the small correction Phil?

It's not "remove three assistants", it is "remove assistant #3". Didn't you all know that our assistants are identified by numbers, and not by their names. Makes the speed of the workflow so much faster.
