[Portrait of a girl] Federica!

Lovely girl and nice picture of her.

I would have put her against a less distracting background. And I'm a little unsure about the hand!

Good photo, Awesome color and skin tones,

I think the hands look akward also, almost a little over posed, if you tried too shoot a few just let it rip fun photos I bet that you will come up with
some super shots.

Also decide how much you want the background to be in focus by moving model away or closer to it.
I would love to know your camera settings, wb, color mode, raw or jpeg
contrast saturarition and hue settings.

I have not come as of yet to figure out how to get nice consistent skintones and punchy color.

Great shots on your link

...my eyes went to, being so bright and awkwardly splayed. I also find the background distracting and incongrous with the subject–moreso because it's perhaps too bright relative to the subject. Your model could also you a trim to even out those ends: the one cluster of strands resting on her bosom was the second thing my eye was drawn to. I should get around to her face here in the next couple of minutes...

My $0.02.

Hi,

I checked your website and you have some fab. photos, the one you have posted has great colours but the model in general looks uncomfortable.

Thanks
Alex

This is not my forte, but that being said, I was thinking exactly what Kabe was on this

The pose has possibilities, but needs to be cleaned up some. The background is distracting, her left hand fingers should not be splayed so much. I also think her right shoulder should not be rolled forward as it is, but pulled back some, and the right hand should be up a bit higher.

She does look uncomfortable in this pose.

Nevertheless, a beautiful young woman.
My $0.02.

I dont' care for the crop, either cut it off higher or show the bottom of the dress,

I don't care for where her hands are,

the background is awesome, for breakdancers and not someone in a black dotted dress.

her face could use a little more touching up.

(ps, I'm too busy taking pictures to update this site)

I may be stupid, but I'm not stupid enough to blow 3k on a 28 f1.4

White balance set by mistake to premeasured but premeasured the day before with completely different light!!!!
Color mode II, Adobe sRGB(widest gamut).

The rest is all set to neutral.

At the beginning the foto looked yellowish...I was in the shadow.
I toned down the yellow in photoshop.

I used my 50 mm 1.4.

With respect, my first question was "why is this cute girl stanfding in front of grafetti with her strap coming off her shoulder?" I do not think the background, the model and the clothing agree.

Well exposed and focused, however. A little tweaking and you really have it.

Mmm, I agree - the hand and the shoulderstrap are eye twisters. The background contrasts with the girl, but depending on your reason for putting it there, that's fine.

The rest of your portfolio is awesome, and the other "girl in front of ghetto" shots work much better.

You are lucky to have several delicious models, particularly this one!

I do find the hand position in several of your shots to appear awkward - maybe that's one area where you could focus a little more attention. But with models like yours, I can see where it is easy to neglect the hands!

Obviously, the sunlight is too bright for shooting, as evident by her unattractive squinting. And her hair? Looks like she just woke up from a nap. This shot highlights the importance of either a stylist or a great sense of style on the part of the photographer. There is so much to improve upon here, it's hard to know where to begin.

Pretty girl.....however, she needs to do something with her hands. The fingers look very awkward. She might just need to relax and close her fingers together, etc.
