Hi,

After enjoying my fuji s5000 I decided it was time to upgrade, opted for the 400D and am having great fun so far. Massive learning curve for someone that was only used to a P&S, but after a couple of weeks I feel happy to post a few shots for advice. Only made basic adjustments in pp.

Welcome to the DSLR club! You did well on your shots there, especially for a first time DSLR user. When I went from a P&S camera, you wouldn't want to see the results I got. :-)

You nailed it quite well especially with that first portrait. It's sharp and the skin tones look good on my screen.

BTW - nice looking girls......nice car too!

Enjoy your new toy. I love my 400D.

All with the kit lens , still deciding on lens to get. I guess I got time to decide while i learn the basics tho...

Yes after seeing my shots after the car show at the weekend i must agree a polarising filter is on my list... and more practice at PP. Although I'm off to france at the weekend for a week so may try to get one b4 then :)
