http://www.ubid.com has the D1, D1x, and the D1x selling for between $1000-2500. Now the people that are selling them are first time auctioners and in a lot of cases are overseas (France, Spain, England). And it appears that some of them cancel bids before the auctions end... But I wanted to know if anyone had bought a camera on this website at such a great deal? OR is it a scam?

IT IS A SCAM! Even the Escrow companies they use are a scam!!! Most of the one's you see originating from Europe can not be trusted...and actually for the most part, have been recently traced back to Romania.. I have a great resource for you, this guy has been tracking them for a long time! Bottom line if you don't want to read it...don't trust Ubid!

Don't you think there is something funny about this price? Better to toss your money out the window than to send to these crooks! Try doing a little search in this forum on ubid.--Greg GebhardtJacksonville, Florida

I am reminded of a famous saying "If it sounds too good to be true-it probably is"
