Got my S9000 yesterday, downloaded driver from Canon website for OSX, hung up the G4 when re-starting, but got everything working eventually. Only problem is everything is colored purple. Talked with tech support and cleaned heads three times, but everything still purple. They've told me that they'll get back to me after checking resources....anyone else have this problem? Solutions?

Daft question, but did you fit the ink tanks in the correct order?

Here's an update on my purple world. Yesterday's last talks with Canon support left me with their opinion that printing borderless with IPhoto was causing the print quality problem. I loaded Photoshop on OS9 last nite and still got the purple . This morning the support tech acknowledged that it is a print head problem most likely and they are sending me a new one. FYI

That sounds like a fair deal to me, but still inconvenient for you.

Hope the next one is OK.

This seems to answer the question of whether the print heads are user replaceable or not.

Printhead is packaged separately and installed by consumer. It's easy, just snaps in place.

I'll have to add that the Canon tech support is most responsive and caring of any tech support I've dealt with- by far!
