I have seen amex blue mentioned alot..

Would someone please tell me how it works?

I gather it is an amex credit card, with some sort of price match?

Thanks,
Mr. Bill

AMEX offers several different cards, of which Blue is one. The AMEX Blue card costs you nothing, as there is no annual subscription fee. There are several benefits to using your AMEX Blue card for purchasing items, such as a digital camera. One of the benefits of having an AMEX Blue card is that anything you purchase using the card will get double the manufacturer's warranty. So, if the manufacturer gives a one year warranty with the product, you can double the warranty to two years at no cost to you by merely purchasing it with the AMEX Blue card.

Another benefit of using the AMEX Blue card for purchasing items such as a digital camera is that if, within 60 days of your purchase, you find an ad offering the same item for less than you paid, AMEX will send you a check for the difference between the price in the ad and your invoice price. This benefit allows you to purchase from very reliable sources but still get the same price as if you purchased from some less reliable sellers who offer products at lower prices. This feature has permitted some to deal with the best, but still pay only the lowest cost.

I don't have an AMEX Blue card, but the AMEX card I do have also guarantees me that I can return any item for full credit that I purchase with it even though the seller refuses to take it back. AMEX will refund me the full purchase price. I have not bothered to check if the AMEX Blue card will do the same. You can go to the American Express web site and read about all the benefits of AMEX Blue [or any of the other cards they offer]. http://americanexpress.com/homepage/mt_personal.shtml

Let me add that the Amex website is not complete on the Best Value benifit. I just upgraded to the Optima Platinium card for this feature, though it was not listed as a benifit. I would suggest that any Amex cardholder call to see if thier current card is covered.

Another person on one of the forums bought their camera at Staples. If you really dig around their web site you will find a 110% price match.
