S602 in May

Anyone spot this on Fuji's website

All black S602 available from May 2002.

In my experience Fuji ship their new cameras very early to selected stores in the UK. The London camera Exchange is expecting the 601 in April and I won't be at all surprised if the S602 is there by May.

1 week without my 6900, money from it's sale in the bank, only 2 months to go. I can't wait.--Best Wishes,

Hi Richard, Have you pre-ordered? I had decided on the D-7 but I am giving the 602 strong concideration, it really looks like a winner doesn't it. I just don't know if I can wait until May-June as I have been researching since December. I also am going to look at the new Olympus comming out later this month. Rick Mayers

Rick I've not preordered as my local shop usually is one of the first to get new Fuji's. I'll also wait a little while for the price to settle. I'm ok waiting. I have an IxusV for fun and am currently trying out a Fuji A201 for the camera shop. Nice little camera with excellent 2m prints. I really want to have the 602 by holiday time this summer.

I've not heard of the new Olympus, any details?

I hope it is not too important to you, but the camera is not all black. it is two-tone, just difficult to see in the photo. Good Luck. I hope to get one myself.

The US press release quotes June and when I phoned Fuji UK I was told July so I would not count on it being May 02 although I would be happy to be be proved wrong on this.

The camera shown on the Fuji USA site is also two toned but I seem to remember reading somewhere there was also going to be an all black version.
