one question about s9100/s9600

No problem with dials and power off issue on the 9600 I use.

They probably had a faulty sample, or most likely a bad review day as they moaned about it being too 'heavy'. Just mount a 30omm lens on a DSLR and they'll start to know about heavy...

No problems with switching on/off s9600 although does not seem as smooth as s9500 (I have both-s9600 seems to give better results) Good Luck if you decide to purchase
 
He must be moving his dial awfully darn fast.
