Any one advise me not to bring a laptop to trip to Israel

I spent last December in New Zealand - without my laptop. I had my Wolverine 7000 flashpac 40GB PSD. It worked fine - no one at an airport even asked what it was (had it in my camera bag). My version does not allow you to view images - so I just had to live with the idea that time was on my side. (2100+ image - around 21.5 GB of RAW with some Toshib* Jpegs from my old P&S -- it broke anyway - had to share my *ist Ds with my son -- he is better than I am --- D*mn kids)

The later models of the Wolverine and Epson will allow for Pentax RAW - although you might want to check with the manufacture about K10D availablity - viewing. Both the Epson and Wolverine can double as a mp3 player - although I would prefer a smaller seperate mp3 player. (I carried my Rio S30 - 256MB SD == 5.5 hours off of a single rechargable AAA)

I almost took the laptop, but did not want the hastle of carrying it around - or leaving it in the rental as we were out and about the countryside.

my brother spent a week in Isreal with his laptop - no problems. Isrealis are more likley to talk you out of your laptop than steal it.
