Hi,
Pls refer to following link. Seller sells D200 for AU $1699.00.

I didn't look on ebay for a while, but there seem to be a lot of people who sell a D200 around this price range. Just a few months ago recommended retail in Australia was over AU $ 2500.00, so it must have come down a bit. Otherwise I do not have any explanation.

I have contacted a few buyers from previous transactions, still waiting for them to respond.
What do you think?

Thanks

$1339 is the typical price from B&H, and Cameta sells factory refurb for quite a bit less.

Even considering the exchange rate - prices are always very steep in Oz.

This seems a bit too good to be true. Someone is obviously trying to unload it quickly - "why?" is the question.

I'd be cautious. It may just happen to be a really good deal, or it may have some nasty catch.

If you're happy buying grey-import stock, I'd go with these guys:

I've dealt with them without any problems. Their price on a D200 body is currently AU $1815, which is a bit more than the ebay price you've quoted, but I'd pay the difference.

But if you prefer an official import (ie, not a grey import), the current street price for a D200 body is around AU $2100 to AU $2200 (depending on dealer and how well you haggle).
