Anti-Pedophile Terror - fresh air from Pop Photo

Happy you brought this up again, I pesonally am frustrated by the
soft penalties. If guilty, I would favour the death penalty for
perverts, not in a jail lbut on a city square. If ínnocence is not
proven 1005; no mercy for the criminal.
--
Windmills, just do it.
If innocence is not proven eh? Well, can you prove to us where you
were the night that Jon Bennet (or however she spelled her name)
was murdered? If not, we hereby find you guilty. Which town square
should we use? :)
I'll bet dh wasn't surfing the net for porn, but instead at home
reading the good book :)

I have come to realize that the Good Book does not offer a solution
for all sinners. It is time to get rid off them for once and all
the right way.
Since we are all obviously sinners, I wait for you to cast the first stone at yourself.

Right and if they can't (because there is no proof) then I can go
about my business.
Wanna bet. Once the police come and search your place, ALL the local news channels will be in a feeding frenzy over such a juicy story about a pervert photographer. Your name and probably photo will be all over the local news, possibly for days.

Even if 100% innocent, it is unlikely THAT will merit even a comment on the news, but everyone will still be thinking you are a pervert, because the media labeled you a pervert. So now try and go about your business as usual.

And that does not take into account the legal hassel you'll have if the cops DO THINK they have something on you.

prove it? Off with her head!

Looks like you've been reading the Koran and attending the wrong gatherings. I'm sure dh can set some time aside to help you find the way back.

While I have read the Koran (and the Bible, many times) I strongly suspect that dh is in no shape to help me now. She should be in the process of bouncing rocks off her own head and it likely hurts. Unless she throws like a girl that is. :)

Hey! The death penalty and public square thing were YOUR ideas, not mine. And, since you obviously cannot prove your innocence (your criteria) then, well, your punishment would seem to fit per your criteria.

That is the nice thing with criteria, they do not count for everyone. I will do the chopping you provide the head. No loss, since you do not seem to reason well and tell the good persons from the bad persons.

NONE and that's the point!!! Everyday some new crybaby posts about our rights being taken away and there are no true reports of false convictions. It's all talk.

Would someone please tell me a story of a person they know (not a
third hand tale) but some actual person they know who's life was

and IF a frog had wing he wouldn't bump his a$$ a hoppin'. It's all about the what if and no actual stories that truly show this happening to photographers. It's also funny how nobody addressed my point about shots of women and the comments posted here. Why is that?

Certainly, it is the business side of this issue. Urban wisdom says: keeping away from the printing kiosks and service bureaus keeps you away from the troubles. National Camera Association may become a powerful lobby.

Since we are all obviously sinners, I wait for you to cast the
first stone at yourself.
Would someone be so kind as to hand me that rock, that one over there shaped like a baseball. I want to chuck it at dipics for I am not a sinner. I am qualified for the job because I am not an obvious sinner. I might, by some stretch of the imagination might be an inobvious sinner. Plus I have the strength of ten because my heart is pure.

Isn't there an old joke about Jesus saying, "let he amongst you who is without sin cast the first stone."

And when a stone came whizzing through the air Jesus said, "Oh, sorry Mom, I did not see you in the crowd."
--
Shoot lots of pictures, always fill the frame

I'm sure there are some who will help regardless of the subject, but my issue was also with the sexist comments that fly when it happens to be a woman of beauty. You missed the point. It's not solely about ones appreciation of the model or photo, but how they react. I also enjoy a pretty lady, but you will NEVER hear me make the remarks I read on these forums. Unprofessional and some perverted and at the very least classless.
Photography is FILLED with perverts, scum and pedophiles. Post a
picture on these forums of an ugly guy or girl and you get nothing.
Now post an attractive woman dressed in very little watch and what
you get..."man she's hot...I wish I had her...you're so
lucky....and I could go on and on.
Have you ever checked-out the "Retouch Forum?" People from all over
the world send in photos of people (women - men & families) to have
the experts there work on them to bring them to their full
potential. Some of the photos show some beautiful women, some of
them are butt ugly, but I've never seen where the experts on that
forum have refused to help someone out with a photo, or made any
snide comments no matter what the individual looks like.

Now I don't know about you, but myself I appreciate looking at a
beautiful woman who has a fantastic figure and enjoys flaunting it.
Does that make me a pervert, hardly, IMO it's perfectly normal. But
I also enjoy looking at photos of "Anyone" (man or woman or young
person) where the shot has the right composition and exposure. I
enjoy all aspects of photography, but is there a pervert lurking
behind every lens, not any more so than any other person involved
in a hobby/business.

IMO I feel that you're off the mark in your statement.

Yep, that is an old joke. :)

And, try to keep up, Steph is the rock target, not me. I'm innocent until proven guilty (and I have a GREAT lawyer). She's guilty until she proves herself innocent. So, heave it at her.

I said nothing about false convictions. I meant true convictions. If you can't come up with any, this easily proves that pretending that someone carrying a camera by a playground is automatically a suspect is just a waste of time and police resources.
