I just downloaded Photo Studio the other day. Wanted to test it
out since it looks interesting and thought it might be an
alternative to Breezebrowser (which I did have issues with when I
tested it). I've only played with Photo Studio a bit and so far it
seems to have potential. BUT, I have run into a problem already.
Granted, I haven't gone through the help yet, but, when I try to
open a folder as a contact sheet, the program crashes everytime.
Haven't been able to open a folder yet, only individual files.

Tanks for the answers.
I still uses Yarc (the first version) to batch convert sometimes.
If I have taken 400-600 pictures, just set it to convert and forget
the computer.....

You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought both BB & ScotPro
use the same Canon Library to do the conversion.
I just did a quick speed comparision test with BB v1.2 and ScotPro
v1.2.02, and the speed is pretty much the same.
RAW file: Canon D30
Converted file: 16bits-LinearTIFF
Conversion Speed: BB=24sec, ScotPro=24sec
PC: Dual P3 700MHz.
note: With both applications, I can run multiple applications to
utilize 100% of my system CPU resource. Within my workflow, I
devide all of my RAW files into two separate directories then run 2
sepate ScotPro applications each converting one directory. My best
result at home on my Dual 1GHz PC is about 7-8 RAW images ->
16bits-LinearTIFF per minute.
When I have to do a lot of conversion (which is always the case
after each event), this method is a time saving.
I do like ScotPro better because of the more user friendly
interface. I also think the EV option is pretty useful.
