Alright now, I'm no expert on camera's to say the least.

I'm incredibly interested in photography and absolutely love taking pictures. Just wondering how good the fully automatic is on this camera? Should I just use it like that.

Also I bought this camera because of a 3 day festival coming up. Just wondering what settings I should have it on for the show.

Concert is 11am to 12pm for 3 days. So planning on taking a lot of pictures.

Thanks a lot
Dave

If you're wanting to post process to get the most out of your pictures, I'd turn down at least the in-camera sharpening and saturation using the My Colors menu. A lot of people would tell you to turn down the contrast as well, but I like contrast and my SD1000 doesn't have much of a problem with blowing highlights like a lot of the older cameras did; you might feel differently about it though.

I usually leave my camera in the standard Auto ISO, but I have the ISO Shift feature turned on so I can quickly bump it up to whatever the camera thinks it needs.

All sort of depends on what you want though; it always takes a little time to play with the settings to figure out what you like the best.
