Much of it sounded like some foreign language to me.
But, it certainly looks like a nice camera. But I have a fairly large investment in Nikon Glass that I'm not yet willing to give up, or need to at this time, The D2X camera works just fine for me and I don't plan on retiring it for at least 2-3 years more. God knows what cameras will be doing by then from either company, but it would have to be
huge for me to consider switching and potentially having to rebuild my lens stock.
Fortunately for me, it isn't a business driven decision. If it is for others then of course it another matter.
Still I think I'd wait to see what develops - from what I see with dual processing chips etc... they could be in for a bit of growing pains much like the D200 has experienced... - so maybe waiting for 6 Months or a Year might just be a good idea - to see what kind of issues show up. If you're really pressured and can afford it, then do as you need to do, and Good Luck.
Like I said before though, just based on what I've seen in the announcements it looks cool, I'm hoping Nikon will continue to develop new and exciting cameras as well. But I don't know that they ever released in sync with Cannon, so I'll just have to wait and see what and when Nikon responds.
What I'd really like is if Nikon halved the price of their Big lenses, that would really get my juices flowing
