Abstract of sorts (3 photos)...

Interesting location. I like 1 & 3 - about the same. #2 loses a bit of detail, but might be just right for some applications. Nice work, but keep the panda.

  1. 1 for sure. The others look over- and under-processed (to me).
I like your composition. With your main subject being the great lines created by the wall/shadows (the lighting is great, by tyhe way) - I think you could re-shoot the scene trying some different angles and perspectives, or at least try cropping out the back room, as that distracts from the suibject, IMHO.

I agree with most others that #1 is best, but that back room needs
to be cropped out. I'd crop just to the right of the right
diagonal board.
Steve, ITguy,,,

I lumped you two together to respond to b/c you both suggested cropping out the backroom. I do have other perspectives shot at this location, including vertical, but the backroom gives the image depth, imo, and wouldn't work as well without it. I appreciate your take on it though..

Thanks 4 your feedback..!

I will this time because my opinion seems to be in the minority.

I love B&W, which is how I print most of my work, but #3 works for me. It has a nice, natural sepia tone to it that would look very nice on a large white mat with a simple frame. It also has more tonal range than #1 (#2 is definitely out, it looks like a poor photocopy, sorry).

But overall, the composition is off. The photo has strong vertical and hotizontal lines that don't lead your eyes anywhere. When your eyes don't know where to look, your brain starts to wander (then your feet move on to the next photo in the exhibit). If I override my brain and force myself to focus on that back room, everything seems unnatural and out of place.

Sorry for sounding harsh, but I really do have good intentions!
