I have a question for the proud owners of the new R6...

Can you tell me if it is easy to see your photo subject in the LCD when taking a picture under very low lighting conditions? For example, in some cameras, if you are taking a picture under these conditions, you can barely see what you are taking a picture of in the LCD. One has to take the picture and pray that everyone is in the frame.

Thanks for your reply.

If by "very low lighting" you mean in a room with just a small table lamp on, for example, I can barely see a thing on my LCD. I assume that would be the case for most digital cameras, wouldn't it?

Low light is easy - bright light outside is hard.

All cameras using lcd's to frame images have a similar problem. This is why ovf's are popular and the evf on the GX100 should be good.

On all R3/4/5/6 use the Scene Mode called 'High Sensitivity' and a grainy view of the dim scene is displayed. Not perfect but better than looking at a black LCD. I'm not certain but I think the R6 would automatically set to highest ISO with that mode.

Of course you may need to allow the auto exposure to run to 1 second instead of the default 1/8 sec by setting the Slow Shutter Limit to OFF.

It's all in the R6 manual found at.....
